Espace emploi international Paris:

Paris Memorandum of Understanding Between RDÉE Canada and Espace Emploi International: a Winning Agreement!

RDÉE Canada and Espace Emploi International Paris (EEI Paris) ratified a Memorandum of Understanding on July 11, 2008. This agreement will allow them to pool their skills and means to help find placements for potential Francophone candidates who want to relocate to Canada and, in so doing, fill vacancies within the RDÉE Canada network. Together they will implement outreach, information and action plans for prospective applicants.

This partnership will help identify the jobs available in French in all Canadian provinces, with the exception of Quebec. The objectives of this memorandum are to look for candidates who can fill the vacancies, to inform them of conditions related to immigration, lifestyle and work in Canada and to provide guidance and support for projects related to recruitment or departure for Canada.

RDÉE Canada will be mandated to facilitate the integration of newcomers into the labour market, educate employers about the EEI, introduce potential business people to RDÉE Canada’s services and more.

Espace emploi international Paris will explain and co-ordinate action taken under the memorandum of understanding in EEIs based in France, select the candidates introduced to the businesses that are part of the RDÉE Canada network on the basis of the criteria in their offers, and so on.

This memorandum of understanding provides additional support to the economic development and employability of Francophone and Acadian communities in Canada.

Destination Canada:

RDÉE Canada / Destination Canada Partnership

In recent years, Destination Canada has become the forum for French and Belgians interested in temporary or permanent relocation to Canada.  This year, a new component has been added whereby Canadian employers will be on hand to recruit. RDÉE Canada will be a partner in this event, as part of the memorandum of understanding entered into with EEI Paris.

The Canadian employers are invited to come and recruit. Every day, up to 600 participants will discover Canada’s diversity and learn about opportunities to live and work in Canada through presentations from the Embassy of Canada in France. Representatives of the provinces and territories and of Francophone communities across Canada will give participants a taste of the welcome that awaits them and the services available to help with their integration. Canadian employers may be present with offers of employment in sectors such as aeronautics, hospitality, translation, transportation and multimedia. Offers are submitted in advance to partner agencies, public agencies for employment and international mobility in France and Belgium.  Their advisors will select candidates on the basis of the résumés received and applications stored in their databases. Other participants can meet with employers in the course of the event during open time slots.

See the complete schedule for this event at www.destination-canada-forum-emploi.ca.
