RDÉE Nouveau-Brunswick
The Réseau de développement économique et d'employabilité (RDÉE) Nouveau-Brunswick (N.-B.) supports Acadian and Francophone community economic development by making available to local organizations a wide array of resources to foster job creation.
New Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province in Canada. The 239 000 Acadians and Francophones represent a third of the population of the province. They play a significant rôle in its economic development.
RDÉE N.-B. is a member of the Canada-wide economic development and employability network. As such, it has access to a wealth of resources to benefit the people of the province.
RDÉE N.-B. makes available to you its human, financial and material resources. It assists you in finding partners, shares its exemplary practices and conducts technological monitoring. All these endeavours combine to produce an environment that will enhance the socio-economic growth of Acadians and Francophones.
RDÉE N.-B. partners economically oriented organizations, mainly in the areas of tourism, rural development, knowledge-based economy and youth integration in economic development.

Rural Development
In New Brunswick, the economic strategies traditionally proposed have mostly given preference to urban growth centres such as Moncton, Fredericton and St. Jean, where the majority of New Brunswick Francophone citizens do not live.
One of the objectives of RDÉE N.-B. is to promote decision-making at the local level and economic diversification so that the New Brunswick Francophone communities can attain a level of sustainable rural development.

Knowledge-Based Economy
In order to profit from new market trends and the new economy, the Francophone regions of New Brunswick must become more involved in knowledge-based industry. The strategic direction of RDÉE N.-B. aims to ensure competitive positioning for business and a diversified economy for rural regions against the background of market globalization.
Youth Integration in Economic Development
Rural youth in New Brunswick experience difficulty accessing the job market and starting up businesses in their home community. This results in a massive exodus to urban centres, especially in the case of youth with a college or university education. The strategic direction of the sector is to counter this trend and, by creating businesses and jobs, encourage the retention of young people and the return of those who have left.
Youth entrepreneurship developement is also priorise in our interventions.
Tourism
The tourist development sector envisages the development and marketing of Acadian products.
The concertation of the touristics intervenants in this sector is one of our efforts for maximising the touristic promotion for our Acadian communities.
