Mr. Collin Bourgeois
Administrator - Sturgeon Falls (Ontario)
A native of Timmins, Ontario, Mr. Bourgeois graduated from Toronto’s Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology in funeral service education.
Since October 2005, Mr. Bourgeois has been the owner and funeral director of the Bourgeois funeral home in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. From 1985 to 2006, he was funeral director at the Co-operative Funeral Home, Sudbury District.
Over the past few years, he has received numerous awards: the Prix du Mérite Leadership coopératif 2005 from the Conseil de la coopération de l’Ontario (CCO) at its annual general meeting in June 2005 in Ottawa; the Mérite de la Francophonie 2005 from Richelieu International in March 2005 at the Embassy of France in Ottawa; the John Grasby Award for volunteer of the year from the United Way in February 2005 in Sudbury, Ontario; and the Grégoire Pagé Award at Richelieu International’s annual conference in October 2004 in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. In 2008, Mr. Bourgeois was awarded the Trille de Platine by the Fédération des aînés francophones de l’Ontario (FAFO) for outstanding service to Ontario’s Francophone community.
