Mr. Pierre Bélanger

Pierre Bélanger, a Franco-Ontarian by birth, is a well-known public figure in Northern Ontario and Northwestern Quebec. He has a wide range of experience in both the business world and the public sphere.
Now the owner of a flourishing RV dealership, Mr. Bélanger once contributed to the success of the Boler trailer factory. From 1983 to 2002, he owned the Earlton Zoo, a major tourist attraction in Ontario. In the 1970s, he established the Bisons du Nord ranch, one of the first buffalo farms in Ontario.
Pierre Bélanger has involved himself in community development by consistently being part of his area school board and various regional and provincial economic development boards. He was also the president of the Ontario Bank of Development. He currently chairs the Fondation du Collège Boréal.
Since October 2005, Mr. Bélanger has chaired RDÉE Canada’s Board of Directors and co-chaired the National Committee of Economic Development and Employability.
